I remember all the time Val and I spent overnight with you and Grand pop, from all the trips to Denny’s, playing cards (go fish, the old maid, war, snap!), teaching us how to play poker and using pennies to gamble with), board games (my favorite Candyland and Husker du), coloring I remember how amazed I was with how well you colored, watching Wheel of Fortune, walking up the street to the snowball stand in the summer even sometimes making our own snowballs with the ice crusher, baking chocolate chip cookies every year and the smoke detector going off, exploring the attic and all the hidden treasures, the smell of moth balls, playing Bingo and the wheels at the Fullerton Carnival, coming up to see the fireworks you always had soda for us and a cake baked (my favorite was Chocolate Marble), all the old time funny saying you had like “3 sheets to the wind” and “My mother told me there would be days like this but she never said how many”, how you had a recipe to get every kind stain out of clothes, sewing and repairing our torn clothes, your word search books and that special kind of pencil you used to do them with you even had one in the bathroom, your love for Snoopy! Most of all allowing us to get into just about anything without the fear of getting in trouble you let us be kids, always kind, generous, and caring everything a Grandmother should be! You are and always will be my Grandmother like no other fun loving!
