Anyone who was lucky enough to have met my Gram would agree she was an amazing lady to say the least. I remember playing with the stamps and board games, celebrating the 4th of July with fireworks in the yard, pulling the string on the music box on the back of the door, enjoying her home-made carrot cake each and every birthday, playing with her Snoopy collection, collecting just about EVERY McDonalds toy ever made, playing hopscotch outside, taking Gram and Pop dinner and helping them around the house when they no longer could on their own. While it saddens me she will not be able to meet her great-granddaughter, I take comfort in knowing that she is up there with Pop, sitting in a lawn chair watching over myself, my husband Edward and our un-born daughter Autumn and will look over and protect us.
