Bernadette’s family is celebrating her long, fulfilling life of 85 years. As the matriarch of the family, Bernadette possessed an unrelenting and boundless love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and cooking, especially Italian pasta dishes. As an animal lover at heart, Bernadette also mothered and her cared her many endearing pets, both cats and dogs.
Bernadette’s home was the main hub of family holiday gatherings and celebrations. She and her late husband Vincent named their country home Brigadoon after a play that they performed in together at St. Matthew’s Dramatic Society. True to the story of Brigadoon, Bernadette and Vincent made an unprecedented move to the country in Hydes MD, where they built their house into the magical home it now is today. Bernadette was also very proud of her role as Liat in South Pacific.
Bernadette's love for gardening and nature can be seen in the colorful flowers, majestic trees, and Angel and Mother Mary garden statues that adorn her peaceful home in the countryside. Her faith in God was her refuge and her strength. Bernadette will be dearly and forever missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
