George R.  Holdorf Sr.
On July 15, 2018 George R. Holdorf, Sr., was born December 25, 1925 to the late Raymond and Alice (nee Sawyer) Holdorf and was one of three children, his sister Alice “Dede” May Smith and his late brother Charles Matthew Holdorf. He is a World War II veteran, Col. 377th Infantry 95th Division “Iron Soldier”, and civilian federal employee for a total of 37 years. He owned and operated Breezy Hill Farm in Middle River, MD. for 27 years. He is the devoted father of Sheila Freed and her husband Philip, Karen Johnson and her husband Tom, George Holdorf, Jr. and his wife Nancy and Benjamin Clarke; loving grandfather of Kelly Lama, Jennifer Brown, Dawn Bayer, Rebecca Houck, James Holdorf and Michele Lewis; cherished great grandfather of Skylar Lama, Luke Lama, Liv Houck, Samuel Houck, Joe Houck, Taylor Brown, Grace Brown, John Brown, Jacob Bayer, Matthew Bayer, Gweneth Markowski, Janelle Lewis, Genevieve Holdorf-Allen, Levi Holdorf-Allen; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc. 7401 Belair Road in Overlea on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 1-3 & 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:00am. Interment in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.
