Stanford L.  Kimmel Sr.
On February 16, 2017, Stanford Lafayette Kimmel, Sr., beloved husband of Lucille W. Kimmel, (nee Wolff); married 70 years, preceded in death by his daughter Maren Lou Kimmel. Devoted father of Hulda Ann Watson, Stanford Lafayette Kimmel, Jr. and Lorey Beth Stoddart; also, survived by nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was born April 14, 1924 in Stoystown, PA. He graduated from high school and joined the Navy at age 17 and served during WWII. He married the love of his life his “Sweetheart” in Charleston, SC on August 22, 1946 where they met during the war. He later went college on the GI Bill and became an Electrical Engineer. He was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Perry Hall, MD for over 50 years.

Visiting at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A, in Kingsville, 11750 Belair Road on Friday, February 24, 2017, from 7-9 pm. Further visiting at St. Michael Lutheran Church, Perry Hall on Saturday, February 25, 2017, from 10:30 – 11:00 am at which time services will begin. Interment St. Michael Lutheran Church Cemetery.
